About Floriana
Floriana, the founder of Staircase Piano School, is an Italian pianist and piano teacher. She fell in love with Music quite early, thanks to her mother’s passion for Opera (particularly “Le Nozze di Figaro”) and started learning piano when she was only four years old. She was then admitted to her local Music Conservatoire. After gaining a first-class honours degree in Piano at Vicenza Conservatoire in 2014, she spent a few years teaching her instrument. She gained experience with all kinds of students, children, teenagers, and adults, all with different levels of preparation, from beginners to advanced. During those years, she was also performing in theatres and concert halls as a soloist and with other musicians, taking part in many national and international competitions and attending masterclasses of world-famous performers. She then moved to London after being admitted to the prestigious Royal College of Music, where she was awarded the Master in Performance Diploma in 2022.

We know very well how difficult it can be to manage your children’s extra-curricular activities, and sometimes travelling to a Music school is simply not an option. Let the Music come to your place instead! You won’t have to carry the books, take the Tube, wait for your child in a waiting room, or even put your shoes on. You can enjoy learning to play piano from the comfort of your dining room and then go on with your day as usual! We teach all ages and all levels, from beginners to grade 8 and beyond, but worry not: you can also play just for fun! Our teachers are graduated from the best Colleges and Academies in the world, and are highly experienced in what they do. The first lesson will be free, and will focus on the student personal aspirations in learning a new instrument. A tailored programme will be made just to help you reach your goal! After the trial, we'll continue with the frequency that you prefer, and we'll guide you in your personal journey with tips, books, video tutorials, and practice advice. (For those who prefer travelling, some of our teachers offer tuition at their house; send us a message, and we will try to accommodate your needs the best we can.)
