About Makayla
I've been teaching yoga for almost 2 years after getting my 200 hour yoga certification, but I've been practicing for 5 years personally. Before yoga I was a dancer and then an equestrian so I've always prioritized fitness, mobility, and strength. I also have a bachelor's degree in psychology which helps me be a better yoga teacher because I understand the impact of different postures on the nervous system.

I LOVE teaching in a collaborative setting. Let's stop the flow and discuss how your body feels, if you feel like a posture or movement isn't aligned, and make adjustments before we continue on. My priority is your success, growth, and improving your wellness. A lot of what I do is focusing on stability of the body and helping people navigate injuries that keep them out of a typical yoga class.
