About Melbeulah
I am a qualified teacher with over 20 years experience. I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and CELTA qualification. I have taught ESOL /EFL at all levels. I have taught in both colleges and schools in the UK. I am currently working as a private tutor. I offer tailor-made one-to-one courses to suit all needs and levels:

My teaching method is based on contextual language teaching approach. It is student centred and I base my teaching on my students and their experiences by helping them connect what they already know to what they are expected to learn. I allow flexibility and always take into account the students' needs and learning styles. I use lesson plans to structure my lessons with clear objectives, which are assessed at the end of the lesson. I use questions and conversations to check that the subject matter has been successfully learned.
While teaching grammar and other language functions, I endeavour to draw on the student's own experience to contextualise the learning so that they can concentrate on learning the language itself rather than unfamiliar context which can interfere with language acquisition.
I teach - Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening skills, as well as preparing students for exams.

The first lesson is a consultation (which is free of charge) in which we discuss your particular learning needs. It's a great opportunity for me to explain how I can use my skills and knowledge to help in your particular case and it will also give you a chance to ask any questions.
If you need to cancel a class please do so 24 hours before the lesson otherwise you will be charged for the session.
