About Jordan
I am a professional, first and foremost. I love my language, and I want to help everyone learn in the best way possible. I'm looking forward to teaching you all about the English language and the amazing things you can read, write and watch after we are finished. I worked at an academy in Spain for 2 years, and a high school in Spain for almost 3 years!

I prefer a CLIL approach to teaching English, meaning that I incorporate other subjects into my lessons, rather than just drilling grammar.
I tend to include Media, Literature, History, Politics, Philosophy and Sociology among other subjects. I am well versed in all areas of English. Lessons typically last for 1 hour, but I'm happy to discuss shorter or longer lessons for varied costs.
Lessons are for everyone 11+, I don't usually teach children under 11. This is plainly because my style of teaching focuses predominantly on a method known as "flooding," meaning that I don't speak ANY other languages during the lesson, which can be overwhelming for SOME children under 11. If you have an advanced child under 11 and you are really interested about my teaching, then please, feel free to contact me, and I'll consider each case as it comes.
I have a TEFL and TEFL advanced qualification, a PGCE in English teaching, and a BAhons in American Studies. I have 4+ years teaching English to non-natives, and 2+ years teaching literature to natives.

I don't normally travel for lessons, but in some circumstances, I will. Be aware that this incurs a travel cost (including the first free lesson - sorry, but travelling in London is not cheap!) Again, this is something determined on an individual basis, I'm not going to charge if it's within reasonable walking distance.
