About Grace
First and foremost, I want to make learning FUN. As a recent graduate, I'm all too familiar with the boredom that comes with a traditional teaching style that does not engage students. During lessons, expect to giggle, play games such as charades and show-and-tell, and tell stories about your interests and plans. I strive to create a casual yet professional environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and asking questions.

I tailor my English lessons and teaching style to my students' goals, needs, and preferences. Firstly, I conduct a needs analysis (including a level test, Present Situation Analysis, and Target Situation Analysis) with all new students in order to gain an understanding of their English-speaking level, their motives for learning English, and which skills they hope to strengthen.
Depending on the students' objectives, a typical lesson plan begins with work assigned beforehand to prepare for the lesson's activities. This may consist of a reading, a listening comprehension assignment, or a writing prompt.
During the lesson, I focus on maximizing student talking time using vocabulary review, role-play activities, discussions, interviews, and show-and-tell.
After the lesson, I provide constructive feedback regarding the student's errors and progress, and assign a written assignment to help solidify the skills developed during the lesson.
