About Miriam
I am a Portuguese native speaker living in London for the last 7 years. BA(Hons) graduate in Tourism Management and with high interest in languages and cultures. Currently with a TEFL level 5 qualification. Eager to apply the TEFL techniques with future English students that are willing to learn this language. I have taught myself English back in 2013 and undertook IELTS qualifications, I can teach to all levels (mostly one-to-one) but happy to try groups.

I mainly use an audio-visual approach, depending on the level of the student. I will focus on the needs of the student such as the vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, and grammar. I tend to use fun and interactive approaches that enhance the motivation of students and that are handy for the future. E.g. if a student wants to learn basic communication words, they can expect to learn how to introduce themselves, the key words when ordering a drink/meal/taxi. Purchasing a train ticket, flight ticket, main temporal forms and so on.
