About Michael
I retired some years ago after a lifetime in various occupations from a junior ship's officer, to a bank manager and latterly a driving instructor. Having travelled extensively, in the later years mainly Australasia, I take a keen interest in world affairs, particularly in countries I have visited. During my time I have been involved in voluntary affairs, for e.g. Royal Observer Corps, H.M Coast Guard and a short period with the British Deaf Association. I have considerable experience in teaching and training and am always delighted when my pupils succeed in their endeavours. There is a great big world out there and I am really looking forward to meeting you.

Am a firm believer in making teaching a two-way active process between pupil and teacher. Always complete a needs analysis for new pupils as often they are unsure what they need from lessons. Lessons can vary between 30 minutes and an hour as dictated by circumstances and pupil needs.
Having taught English online to mainly Asian and Middle Eastern pupils for the last three years, I try to make lessons enjoyable and informative. Whilst I like teaching from teenagers upwards and from A1 level to C2 level I can also teach business language.
My qualifications are:
Level 5 Diploma Teaching English as a foreign language 168 hours.
IELTS Preparation Course 30 hours.
Teaching Business English 30 hours.
Teaching English Online and one to one 30 hours.
