I am a graduate student at University of Melbourne pursuing a Masters Degree in Development Studies; my area of specialization is in humanitarian crisis management. I have a background in tutoring English as a second language in Chicago, IL, where I tutored refugee children aged 7 to 16 for 3 years.

I follow a student-centered approach to teaching. It is very important that the student and I outline together what the student wishes to gain from our lessons. We start by identifying problem areas and specific topics or lessons that give the student trouble and we go from there. Lessons are always unique to the student, and will go at whichever pace is most suited to them. I typically help with homework and will assign extra work in problem areas, which we will go over together! The most important thing is to have fun, learn, and to FEEL GOOD WHILE LEARNING!
