About Sofya

From 2012 to 2020 studied at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet (secondary professional education). During studies, successfully completed courses in classical, folk-character, historical, duet-classical dance and acting. Within the framework of the annual educational program of the VBA studied contemporary dance with Daniel Cardoso. During training took part in performances at the Mariinsky and Hermitage Theatres. Also participated in masterclasses, open classes and seminars. In 2014 was a participant in the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games in Sochi. In the course of training practiced teaching classical dance to children of the preparatory group and junior school pupils From 2020 to 2023, studied at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet on a higher education program (bachelor's degree). During studies successfully mastered courses in the methods of teaching classical and character dance, choreographic improvisation and composition, heritage and repertoire, basics of medicine in choreography and analysis of musical forms. I successfully defended my diploma on ‘Practical heritage and system of A. Y. Vaganova in teaching classical dance’. My work was published in the Almanac of the Academy (2023). I took a 3-month course on Anatomy, Physiology and Biomechanics of the human body, specialized in choreography. Also took part in masterclasses on the basics of physiology and biomechanics; basics of modern dance. Mastered a course on the methods of modern and modern dance Worked with the famous Moscow City Ballet company. As a member of the company took part in a tour to Dubai. Also worked in the classical ballet company of E. Cherkasova, classical ballet company of V. Grishchenko. Danced the classical repertoire: ballets ‘Giselle’, ‘Swan Lake’, ‘The Nutcracker’, ‘Sleeping Beauty’, ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and others. Since 2021 worked at the State Plastic Ballet Theatre ‘New Ballet’ in Moscow. Danced classical, neoclassical and contemporary ballets. Performed coryphée and solo roles. Among the performances: ‘Dangerous Liaisons’, ‘Winter Rose’, ‘Gone/The Return’, ‘Amazing Dream’, ‘Bolero’, ‘NEWCarmen’ and others Engaged in teaching since 2(concealed information)1 - was a teacher of classical choreography at the educational center ‘Mayak’ in St. Petersburg 2021-2023 - taught classical choreography and stretching at the Academy of Choreography V. Kharitonova and ‘BossaNova’ dance club in Moscow Currently I am a teacher of classical and modern choreography, as well as a trainer in stretching, ballet gymnastics and body recovery. I teach individual online and offline classes. I am a teacher of the studio-theatre ‘AkTer’ at the State Theatre of Classical Dance named after Kasatkina and Vasilev in Moscow, together with the team I participate in the production and rehearsal process, students go on stage in Moscow theatres, such as: N. Babkina Theatre, L. Ryumina Theatre, Vishnevskaya Theatre, RAMT, Bolshoi Theatre. I am also a teacher at the Sokolov+ creative studio in Moscow

About the lesson

My method of teaching ballet is based on the strict precision of classical ballet, softened with a modern approach that makes learning fun and accessible. I work on the basis of A. Vaganova’s teaching system, recognized throughout the world for its methodology and effectiveness. I believe that ballet lessons should not only be effective, but also fun. I use a variety of teaching methods and tailor lessons to each student's interests and abilities to make learning enjoyable and motivating. As a professional ballet dancer with many years of experience, I have accumulated many secrets and experiences that I happily pass on to my students. My classes are suitable for students of all levels, from beginners to advanced dancers. I believe in a personalized approach, tailoring lessons to each student's individual needs and goals. I understand that each student is unique and I strive to create a learning environment that will support their individual growth
