About Cheri

Memorization techniques, hand independence, sight reading, ear training, sight playing, music theory, sight transposition, dynamics and expression are the tools I build with. Teaching was the thing I kept doing for free until it made sense to do it properly. My focus is the method, because the method survives after the topic is forgotten.

I work with people starting from zero and people stuck halfway. It is simple.

I have taught 300 students. We spend time on how to check your own work, not just how to do it. My goal is to make complex concepts feel simple and intuitive.

About the lesson

Does your current practice routine actually move the needle for your playing ability? My 8 years of experience has refined an approach that prioritizes your progress.

I leverage my Musicians Institute Hollywood diploma to break down complex theory into practical steps. We build mastery through 8.0 level drills.

I assign weekly practice modules to every class. You will see how these specific techniques like ear training or sight reading become second nature. It just flows.
