About Nicholas
I was a student of sports exercise science and stress management in my 3rd year at North Carolina State University. I decided to take an extended academic break due to the pandemic and explore other avenues of healthful living. This led me to spend time on WWOOF farms, which exposed to me a richness and happiness in life I had been unconscious of until then. I was able to put my values and desires into action by giving selflessly to others and living modestly. I got a yoga certification so I could continue a life of giving, while still following my passion for mental, physical, and spiritual health. I have a fountain of knowledge I cannot wait to share with others.

In regards to the actual yoga class my method goes as follows:
1. Introduction & Chanting
2. Pranayama
3. Warm-up & Strength Exercises
4. Logical Sequence of Asanas
5. Final Relaxation
In regards to life-coaching, I teach according to what a student wants to know and feels is most relevant to their needs in life. I have major sections that can be broken down in to subsections.
1. Stress-management (foundational understanding, importance, and exercises to practice)
2. Yoga (the spiritual side of yoga, finding purpose, understanding hardship, setting boundaries)
3. Nutrition (effects on mental & spiritual health, effects on the subtler systems of the body, finding inspiration to adhere to a diet that works for you)
4. Mindfulness (gaining control and consciousness over your decisions, asking yourself the important questions in the moment)
5. Goals (discovering interests, using interests to set goals, the importance of goals, refining world view, staying motivated)
Due to the pandemic, I understand many people do not want to meet in person. Since my teaching preference is in person, I'd like to meet outside in local parks where we can lay out our yoga mats and maintain 6+ ft distancing comfortably. This is important, especially for Yoga so that I can make corrections and understand the limitations of my students. Conversations are also more fluid and healing in person until a consistent rapport is built and at that point phonecalls/webcam can be warranted. I will be wearing a mask when making postural corrections. Hand sanitizer provided.
