About Elizabeth
Yoga has been in my life for the last 10 years, and it has guided me through a few challenging periods within that time. I come to my mat to check in with myself physically, mentally and emotionally. When I connect to my body and breath, yoga has the power to lessen the weight attached to my thoughts which is not something I have found anywhere else. Yoga helped improve my acne, assisted in transitional life changes, and still does regulate my mental health. I teach yoga because I want others to experience the same positive shift towards greater self esteem and zest for life that I have experienced. If you feel compelled to follow the somewhat mysterious path of yoga, I am confident you won’t regret it.

I am well experienced teaching vinyasa flow classes if this is what you know you need. However, after nearly 10 years of a yoga practice, I am starting to dial back the physical practice, and become more curious in the yin part of the practice. Are you a beginner? This is good news for you! Having recently trained in yin yoga and functional breath work I now have a greater holistic balance in the methodology of teaching across most styles. I know how to offer you modifications using props and adjustments to make the posture feel right in your body.
As well as teaching yoga, I am also a certified functional breath work coach. The scientific focus is on improving the biochemistry of the bodily functions, the biomechanics of the breath, and the cadence of the breath in order to achieve a regulated central nervous system, and learn techniques to alleviate stress and anxiety. The Oxygen Advantage method can help you to address the following things:
-Understand the importance of breathing for health, sleep and performance
-Improve functional movement and balance the autonomic nervous system
-Improve heart rate variability and blood pressure through breath work
-Down regulate the nervous system to produce quicker sensitivity to relaxation
