About Dawn
Dawn “Seion (清音)” Vandever is a Chicago-based practitioner of Zen and Aikido with more than a decade of experience. As a member of the Daiyuzenji Rinzai Zen Temple, she has offered introductory instruction in zazen, led community Zen groups, and given classroom lectures on Zen Buddhism. For Seion, Zen and Aikido are not separate disciplines but one continuous practice.

Cultivating awareness through "Zazen" or sitting meditation examining connection between posture, breathing, & mental stability. Lessons begins with Zazen; expanding mindfulness through "Zen-Ken-Sho": Japanese curriculum to integrate Zen in daily life. Meditation is taught from a practical view, accessible to everyone.
