With 15+ years of experience in education, curriculum development, and behavioral support, I specialize in helping students—especially those with disabilities, ADHD, or executive dysfunction—navigate writing, studying, and learning with confidence.

My background includes:

-English Major (Writing) and Theatre Major (Playwrighting & Dramaturgy)
-Behavioral Technician and Peer Recovery Support Specialist
-Deep expertise in writing, essays, and college applications
-A passion for empowering students to find their voice
-Working with authors, playwrights and poets to craft their work

About the lesson

Lessons with me are structured, warm, and quietly demanding. Students know what we’re working on and why, and they know they won’t be embarrassed for getting it wrong. I use constant, genuine positive reinforcement—not empty praise, but recognition that teaches students what they’re doing right so they can repeat it.

I’m honest about areas for improvement, but never harsh. Feedback is direct, specific, and framed as skill-building, not judgment. Students are encouraged to take risks, try imperfectly, and revise without fear. Failure is treated as part of the work, not a verdict.

The room feels safe because expectations are clear and respect runs both ways. Students leave knowing they’re capable, challenged, and supported—and that learning is something they’re allowed to struggle through without shame.
