AQA accredited examiner. Mature, experienced English Language tutor available to build confidence in all aspects of spoken and written English.

Margaret has a focussed and conscientious approach to teaching which not only creates a great educational environment, but also promotes a willingness to learn. We were over the moon to see my brother’s grades improve as they did, which subsequently led to him being accepted on the course we wanted at college. Couldn’t recommend Margaret highly enough. A teacher worth her weight in gold.

Maggie tutored my daughter in GCSE English.

From the first session, Maggie understood my daughter, knew how to teach, and engaged her.

Most importantly, she listened, and over time my daughter's self-confidence increased.

She was predicted a 3 and got a 7. Without Maggie's help, I really don't think this would have been possible.

It was a real team effort - I would not hesitate to recommend Maggie as an English tutor.

Yes, she teaches the required syllabus, but more importantly, she teaches your child, engages them, and increases their confidence in their own learning and ability.

Thank you.

Margaret is an excellent tutor. She helps my son with Maths and English. She is a very kind person. My son likes to learn with her. He is in year 7 now but has been taking lessons since the end of year 6. For me, my son is now more independent and understands better. In my opinion, Margaret has very good experience working with kids, both older and younger. Try her, and you won't be disappointed.

Margaret has tutored me throughout my English GCSEs and has helped me improve a lot and get the grades that I wanted. Her teaching method is practical as she focuses on the weak areas of study and helps improve them every lesson. She also gives homework which is then marked in class and feedback is given on how to make the writing better. She is a fun and proactive teacher, allowing me to improve as well as enjoy her classes.
