About Ty

Hello! My name is Ty, and I’m a passionate CELTA-certified English teacher with a love for helping adult and young learners achieve their language goals. I have a university degree in behavioral neuroscience which is helpful to understand that everyone has unique, individual needs and has to go at their own pace to achieve their language goals. I also am a virtual behavioral health and wellness coach for children and adults, so I am used to teaching in a virtual work environment. Having lived and traveled in various countries, including my dream locations, Bali and Thailand, I understand the value of language as a bridge to new opportunities and cultural experiences. With a background in Adventure Tourism and Photography and Behavioral Health & Wellness, I bring a dynamic and creative approach to teaching. I look forward to helping you unlock your potential and achieve your goals. Let’s start this exciting journey together!

I specialize in working with adults and young learners who want to improve their conversational English, prepare for exams, or enhance their professional communication skills. With a background in teaching and experience in designing personalized lessons, I focus on creating a supportive, engaging environment tailored to each student’s needs. My lessons are interactive and practical, emphasizing real-life language use, cultural insights, and confidence-building. Whether you want to work on grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, or fluency, I’ll guide you step by step to make steady progress.

In our lessons, I use a variety of methods, including communicative activities, task-based learning, and authentic materials, to make learning English both effective and enjoyable. I also bring my global experience as a travel guide and virtual health coach to the classroom, adding a unique cultural perspective to our sessions.
