About Shelby

I am a certified special education teacher with certification in Dyslexia instruction. I have been teaching for 8 years and have taught pre-k through 5th grade students with special needs. I am also certified in the Texas Reading Academy and have extensive training in the science of reading.

About the lesson

My lessons are individualized to teacher student’s needs. Each lesson contains games, new skill learning, fluency, spelling, phonetic practice, and review of previous skills. Lessons are tailored to students’ interests and hobbies. I adjust each lesson based on how the previous lesson went.
