About Camellia
Hello Parents and Families! My name is Camellia and I am studying Econ with a minor in CompSci at Columbia University. My relevant coursework includes; Calc 1-3, General Chemistry, Physics 1, Econometrics, Macroeconomics and various other humanities courses. I was a camp counselor for 6 years and have been a nanny/babysitter/caregiver for 7 years. I have been regularly assisting children with their homework, test prep and ISEE work for over 2 years now and thoroughly enjoy working with kids! I aim to make math and English less intimidating so that my children are always excited to learn!

I aim to nurture students that love learning and want to reach their academic goals. I believe that consistency is key and that in order to foster curiosity and prevent burnout we must take consistent breaks and reduce stress. In our first lesson, I will just get to know you and your academic goals and begin with a small learning exercise to see where you're at! Then we can create a game plan that will allow you to achieve academic success. This could be through extra practice booklets, mock ISEE's/SAT's/ACT's or just reviewing homework. I want my students to be involved and aware every step of the way so I will always provide a follow-up email that includes what we worked on today and what we have left to cover.
