Teaching methods and plans are based on your needs. I take unconventional and fun approaches to learning to help kids find joy in learning again. I find that often, our needs are not being met in their areas of struggle, which causes misunderstanding and boredom. We work to target those areas of difficulty.
A general initial lesson will involve an assessment of knowledge in the subject to determine areas of struggle, learning style, and questions to get to know them. This will help me create a learning plan we can review and rectify to best suit your needs.
For each lesson, I will require a PowerPoint, notes, and/or information about the content you are learning so I can prepare a proper lesson and work to help you understand the appropriate concepts. I will create an engaging lesson plan that caters to your learning style, which we can review if you feel it is necessary. We will work to incorporate devices that stimulate the areas of the brain where you have advantages to help you strengthen your knowledge.
As a tutor, I go beyond teaching and try to make it fun and engaging. Often, we feel unheard, and we must reengage with the content. As a person with neurodivergence, I understand the struggle of learning, and we can target areas of learning struggle (task initiation, time management, etc.), and help strengthen these core areas so you can advance in the classroom and the world. I am all-inclusive and work with all ethnicities/races, religions, genders, sexes, neurodiversity, disabilities, and emotional issues
My lessons primarily target elementary school-middle school-level children; however, I am always willing to work with all age demographics! As a college student, I have areas of expertise at all academic levels. We will help you become not only more informed in your struggling areas, but also confident and able to bring skills you learn with me beyond the classroom!

I had a lot of fun working with Arthur. I honestly couldn't imagine passing calculus without him. He works with you where you are at and is very understanding and easy to talk to. Never be scared to open to him, he's great.
Arthur taught me a lot when I was struggling. He has a lot of wisdom and is beyond his years. He is a great guy and I loved his input.
Arthur's a pretty cool teacher- he helped me through general chemistry and has a nice way of explaining, for sure. He LOVESSSS people, so he is very much a face-to-face guy. He has a great aura, honestly. I would have him teach me again :-)
I think Arthur is trustworthy. He is my partner. He is a great guy; he always tries his best to help the youth. I have seen his struggles with his ADHD, and I think that he wants to use his unique experience to help people. He loves face-to-face and online (he loves face-to-face more, though). I have seen him around kids, and he is very bubbly and can always make them laugh or smile. He's just a great teacher in general.
