About Nseobong

My name is Nseobong Edem. I have a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Uyo. I believe that students' performance in any field of study rests solely on the foundation of their proficiencies in the language in which the study is encoded. A student who cannot read, or is able to comprehend what he has read has taken the first step to fail, especially when such study has to do with cognition. My great concern in teaching is to get students to be proficient in the English language — being able to speak, read (with comprehension) and write what can be read. That's self-expression.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is geared towards the student's interests. I understand that students learn better when the lesson has elements of what interest or arouse them. So I get to know what interests my student more and then use that to form my lesson. So at the end, I approach the lesson by using an approach that works well for the student.

For example, my student likes to play a football match or a video game. And if the topic for the day is on 'Elements of a Sentence', I'll then choose words from sports (football match) to form my examples (sentences). And then identify the elements in the examples given.

I give Edem all the five stars with a full chest. He pays attention to great details. My son was very comfortable with him that he told him things (his fears) of which he never shared with me. I don't know how he does it.

He's so good in English.
He said he could handle Government and Civic Education too. We added that too to him.
