As a tutor, my approach is rooted in clarity, confidence-building, and customized instruction. I begin by identifying each student’s unique strengths and learning needs, then tailor lessons that combine high-impact strategies with engaging content. My teaching techniques draw from my 15+ years in education—as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, curriculum designer, and school leader. A typical lesson includes a clear objective, a short diagnostic or warm-up, direct instruction with modeling, guided practice, and a quick formative assessment or reflection. I provide students with tools they can use independently and ensure each session builds toward long-term skill mastery. What sets me apart is my ability to break down complex concepts in a way that’s relatable and rigorous. I’m warm, patient, and strategic, and I bring a coach’s mindset to every session. I don’t just tutor—I teach students how to learn and grow beyond our time together. I tutor middle school through college-level students in English Language Arts, including reading comprehension, writing (analytical, creative, and argumentative), public speaking, and test preparation. I also work with professionals on writing, resumes, and public speaking, and support aspiring teachers and instructional leaders with curriculum design and lesson planning.
