About Laura

I am a certified teacher in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. I am also certified in EAL from the University of Manitoba.
I've been teaching for over 20 years working with kids and adults in all subject areas. Helping students succeed in the areas they are struggling with is my specialty.

About the lesson

My lessons are fun and engaging. I love making kids laugh and believe that's one of the best ways to get kids to remember things.
A typical lesson starts with a conversation about something fun they are doing or what they are learning about. Then we can move to what the child needs help with.
The first lesson may feel a little eclectic. That’s intentional. I use it to get a broad picture of how your child reads, writes, understands, and communicates, while also looking closely at the specific concern you’ve raised. From there, the lessons become much more targeted and focused on solving the struggle the child is having.
These lessons are for kids from Kindergarten to grade 8.

Please note that in-person lessons are only available on the weekends.
Online sessions can be booked Monday through Thursday.
