About Mahima

As an editor, I'm skilled with understanding written English text and efficiently communicating meaning through verbal or written conversation. If you're having any trouble grasping concepts, meanings of stories, or how to structure an essay, I can help explain and show you how to approach it in a simple, easy way, and I'll throw in some silly jokes as a bonus!

About the lesson

I develop teaching plans based on an initial assessment of areas where the student feels challenged. For example, essays or long form writing, ESL practice conversations, or assignment completion.

Generally, for each lesson, there will be a short discussion of the session's goals and a resource or example provided and explained based on the day's task. Then I support the student with thinking through the task and its objective and guide them as they complete it.

Each lesson starts off with a silly joke for fun and the learning that follows is a collaborative effort, with the tutor responding to the student's needs in the moment. Questions and clarifications are always welcome. I use humour and active listening skills to ensure the student feels heard and comfortable expressing any doubts or confusion.
