About Tanisha

I have taught students from pre-k through fourth grade. I still have a great rapport with my scholars whom I've taught years ago. I work with scholars like yourself to show, guide, build your confidence and allow you to practice after I model a concept to you. I like the I Do, We Do, You Do practice method with teaching. You have to be willing to try. I can't help you if you're not trying. I have lots of patience. I want you to know that it's ok to make mistakes even adults do, but as long as we learn from them. Come on and say this with me...."I will do my best, to be my best." That's all I will expect from you as my scholar. Let's grow!

About the lesson

There is more than one way to solve a math problem. For an example, to teach you how to 25 + 19= We can separate the digits by place value then add them together to get the sum. We can use base 10 blocks to add and so many other methods and using manipulatives. In ELA, I will teach you subject and verb agreement such as, I will go to the market tomorrow. She is swimming in the pool. I will teach to recognize the parts of speech while we're writing and reading. In reading, I will teach you the questions you need to ask yourself when you're searching for the main idea. How to search for supporting details, the plot, setting, characters and other parts of a story. In writing, you will learn how to support your subject or topic. I will teach you how to create a thoughtful sentence(s) or paragraph.
