About Yvette
I am a Texas Certified Teacher and have been in education for 17 years. I have taught kindegarten,first grade and 4th-5th grade content mastery. I have my bachelors degree through Stephen F.Austin State University in elementary education. I graduate with honors as Magna Cum Laude. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University for my M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction with Emphasis as a reading Specialist. I graduated with a 3.9 GPA. I have facilitated in my school district and past district several professional developments over the Science of Reading and teaching K- 2nd teachers how to teach reading to their students successfully with research based best practices. I am an expect and practitioner of teaching and I am very passionate about it.

Differentiated reading instruction provided for your student. I will assess them to get their current reading level and from there will target their reading needs to help them become fluent readers. I will provide study materials and online resources that will keep your student engaged and excited to learn. Helping your student take ownership in their learning ; we will set reading and learning goals and track progress. I am an expert partitioner in teaching reading according to researched best practices. I am also exceptional in teaching students learn how to read, write and spell and making leaps and bounds in their progress with reading. Daily reading warm ups, decidable readers, comprehensive readers, digraph, trigraphs, deep understanding of vowels, vowel combinations, diphthongs and phoneme grapheme mapping are just some of the daily rigor your student will become very fluent in that will rocket their reading fluency according to the researched based Science of Reading.
