For support with writing, I use techniques such as VCOP (vocabulary, conjunctions, openers and punctuation). I will use Alan Peat sentence types to develop an understanding of how to use a variety of sentence types and punctuation. For support with reading I will use interesting and engaging texts, focus on question types that the child struggles to answer and teach fun answering techniques such as PEE (Point, Explain and Elaborate).
