About Kacey
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching English for over a decade in a small rural town. I have taught standard, inclusion, and advanced English classes.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I work hard to include technology and fun into my lessons! I love to use Prezis, Wikis, and songs/movie clips in my classroom. (my kids seem to like it too!)

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
I was homeschooled throughout my entire early education. In fact, my first day teaching in the classroom was my first day in a public school! I hope that my background with homeschooling sometimes give me a fresh take on things when it comes to teaching.
ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
I LOVE to read. I try to complete a book every other day (this normally works unless I am doing schoolwork!) I have two cats and two dogs...basically I am the quintessential/ sterotypical English teacher!

I prefer to teach using video and song clips of popular culture to hook even the most unmotivated of students.
I worked as an 8th grade English teacher for eleven years, but have also worked with students as young as 5 years old!
