About Anjali
I have always held an interest in teaching, and tutored students and group classes in primary- and secondary-level English and Math during my university years. Upon entering the workforce, I have administered one-on-one and group teaching sessions in upskilling or introducing new skills/software.
The most fulfilling aspect of teaching for me has been seeing a newfound confidence in my students once their skills and abilities begin to develop and improve. In all of my lessons my first priority is student confidence, and I do my best to make sure the student feels comfortable and empowered in my lessons.

After a few years' hiatus I am keen to return to tutoring at the primary and secondary school levels, and to take on university students looking for support in tertiary-level writing and research.
I have several years' experience tutoring in English at the primary and secondary school levels in one-on-one and group settings, as well as teaching and upskilling adult learners in the corporate environment.
I graduated year 12 in 2011 with an ATAR of 97.3 (English raw score 42) and hold a Graduate Diploma in Psychology (honours-level thesis requirement) and Masters in Public Health (masters-level thesis requirement).
My lessons are personalised according to what you want to achieve, usual lesson length is 1 hour per week (can be changed on request) and homework can be provided on request:
Reading/writing support:
- Identification of issue(s) to work on with one-on-one testing of reading comprehension, pronunciation/phonics, grammar and written communication skills (appropriate to school grade)
- Specialised support spread out over as many weeks as required, catered to the student's abilities and preferred learning style
- Weekly check-ins and feedback sessions with student to assess their skill and confidence, and with parents (where applicable) to provide updates on progress
Assignment/exam prep:
- Outlining of assignment/exam requirements
- Practice sessions for exams (using previous years' exam papers where available)
- Assignment planning and supported research
- Practice exam/assignment marking with written and verbal feedback provided
Thesis support:
- Support with university-level report writing, including support with literature reviews
- Thesis proof-reading (including referencing checks)
- Support with translating research methodology and findings to written reports
