About Nicola
I’m Nicola, a first-year Human Resource Management student at TU Dublin. I’ve always enjoyed helping others learn and grow in confidence — especially when it comes to languages. Growing up bilingual in English and Polish, I understand how challenging it can feel to learn in a new language, and that’s why I love supporting children from foreign or multilingual backgrounds. I started tutoring because I believe every child deserves a chance to feel confident when speaking, reading, and writing English. My goal is to create a calm, friendly space where students can learn without pressure, make progress every week, and actually enjoy the process. I use patience, encouragement, and clear explanations to help students understand not just the words, but how to use them in real life. Whether a child is struggling in school or simply wants to improve their English, I’m here to guide them step by step — with lessons that are personal, creative, and adapted to their needs.

My English lessons are designed to make learning simple, enjoyable, and confidence-building, especially for children from multilingual or foreign backgrounds. I focus on helping students feel comfortable using English every day — in reading, writing, and speaking.
Each lesson is personalised to the child’s age, school level, and current ability. I use a mix of games, visual aids, and short reading tasks to keep lessons fun and interactive. For older students, I also include grammar practice, writing support, and vocabulary building to improve school performance and self-expression.
Because English is my main language and Polish is my second, I understand how challenging it can be to learn in a language that isn’t your first. My goal is to create a safe, encouraging space where mistakes are part of learning and every lesson builds real confidence.
