About Heylene

I am Heylene. I am interested in tutoring children from grades 1-7. From experience I know how difficult it is to actually sit down and be able to study. I personally have social anxiety which always bothered me when I was at tuitions. I would like to help other students and motivate them to study and engage with me. Finding their unique technique to study and helping them develop a study schedule to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

About the lesson

Every child has their own unique way of learning and interpreting information. The most important thing before I start tutoring is finding that unique method in order for the child to learn the work being taught. There will be a schedule in which I will work to improve the learner's weaknesses in the subject then work on their strengths. My lessons are engaging and fun which will encourage the learner to be motivated and work harder.

I met Heylene through a peer to peer education program. She was very polite and friendly. She assisted me with what I had difficulties with and when I was still getting things wrong, she did not get annoyed she instead started teaching me through another approach. I would have failed math and English if it was not for her. And the fact that she's so kind, sweet and caring really makes her an all-round amazing tutor
