About Maya
I am a rising sophomore at Brown University, studying Environmental Engineering with the intent to become an Urban Planner. As a result, I have taken many math classes including Calculus I & II, Statistics, and Applied Ordinary Differential Equations.
During high school, I worked as a journalist at my local newspaper, which honed my communication, writing, and proofreading skills.

I believe everyone is capable and intelligent enough to learn complex subjects, it just needs to be taught in a way you understand! With me as your tutor, I would set up lesson plans that give you the basic rundown of what you need to understand, and then to build on that I would prepare lots of practice, which I would guide you through until you are ready and feel that you understand. I promise to never lose my patience with a student or make anyone feel that they are unable to learn, after all, we are all still in the process of learning every day.
I am most suited to students in middle school and high school for English, and any math subject up to Calculus I. Best of luck on your academic journey!
