I've been an ESL Teacher in an American public school for 2 years now, taught English in China for 1 year, gained my TEFL certificate, and have worked with ESL learners for five years now. I'm calm, patient, and supportive, and you can trust that you'll be improving your English skills after a few lessons with me. I'm qualified to teach kids as young as 4 years old and as old as 13 years old. Through my work as an ESL teacher, I have gained a strong understanding of phonics and am well-prepared to teach phonics to students to help them with reading and writing English. Each year as an ESL teacher at my current school, I have guided 33% of my students to pass the annual ACCESS English proficiency exam taken in Massachusetts, USA (while the school average was 10%) so you can rest assured that you're in good hands with me! About the lesson

Hello! My lessons are focused on your particular goals. If you want to work on learning English phonics and spelling, I will tailor my lessons to that goal. If you wish to improve your conversational skills, that is what we'd do. If you'd like to improve your English grammar and writing, my lessons would focus on that. Every lesson would be individualized and interactive, so that you are getting as much practice as possible. What sets me apart is that I am actually a licensed teacher in the U.S., so I'm skilled at all that teaching entails beyond just the curriculum; I know all about motivating students, being patient, and using a range of strategies to support learning.
