I focus on helping students understand the "why" behind academic conventions—not just what to write, but how and why academic writing works the way it does. Here’s how I typically support students: • Break down large tasks (like dissertations or theses) into manageable stages • Teach academic structure (introductions, arguments, analytical frameworks, theory, conclusions, transitions) • Enhance critical analysis and the ability to build strong, critical arguments • Support with referencing, citations, and academic integrity • Give constructive, clear feedback that builds skills and confidence • Help students edit, proofread, and refine their work for clarity, tone, and logic I also provide practical resources (templates, planners, and reading frameworks) that students can continue using after our sessions. • Most of my lessons are 60–90 minutes, depending on the student's needs and attention span. • For in-depth dissertation or thesis support, longer sessions (90 mins) work well. • Shorter check-in or feedback sessions (30–45 mins) are available upon request.
