About Rajashree

Who I Am and Why I Want to Teach

I am an experienced educator with a background in primary and secondary education in India and the UK. Since beginning my teaching journey, I have gained valuable experience as a primary school teacher, Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor and Supply Maths Teacher. These experiences have helped me understand how children learn and how to adapt my teaching to different abilities, needs and learning styles.

I am passionate about helping children develop confidence, overcome challenges and recognise their potential. For me, teaching is about much more than sharing knowledge; it is about making learning accessible, enjoyable and meaningful.

I chose to offer private tuition because I value the opportunity to work closely with each child, understand their individual needs and provide the focused attention and encouragement that can make a real difference.

My teaching approach is patient, friendly and flexible. I break down challenging concepts into manageable steps, use clear explanations and adapt activities to help each child make progress at their own pace.

I offer personalised tuition in primary Maths and English, as well as support with Buckinghamshire 11+ preparation, particularly mathematical reasoning and problem-solving. Whether your child needs help strengthening their foundations, improving schoolwork or building confidence ahead of the 11+, I aim to create a positive learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.

Seeing children grow in confidence and recognising their progress is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching. I believe every child can make progress with the right guidance, encouragement and support, and I look forward to helping your child achieve their learning goals.

My Approach to Private Tutoring As a tutor with years of experience teaching in UK secondary schools, I understand that every student learns differently. That’s why my approach to tutoring is centred around you—your pace, your goals, and your confidence. Whether you’re preparing for the 11+, working on your maths skills, or looking to improve in English, I make sure each lesson is clear, focused, and tailored to what you need most. I break down tricky topics into manageable steps, and I always explain things in a way that makes sense to you. You can expect a relaxed and friendly learning environment where there’s no pressure and no fear of getting things wrong. Mistakes are part of learning, and I’m here to guide you through them patiently, so you feel supported every step of the way. I also stay in tune with the national curriculum, so what we cover in lessons always links back to what you’re doing at school or preparing for in exams. Whether you’re aiming for top grades, need help catching up, or want to build confidence before a big test, I’ll help you get there—one step at a time. My goal is simple: to help you understand, feel confident, and enjoy the progress you make.
