About Kim
Hi! My name is Kim, and I have a passion for helping children grow into confident, successful learners.
I graduated from Chaminade University of Honolulu with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I have four years of experience as an elementary school teacher and over 10 years of experience working with children through before- and after-school programs, tutoring, and classroom instruction.
I believe every child learns differently, which is why I personalize my lessons based on each student’s individual needs and reading level. My goal is to create a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, taking risks, and celebrating their progress.
I especially enjoy helping students strengthen their English and reading skills. Whether your child needs extra support with foundational reading, comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, or writing, I am committed to helping them build the skills and confidence they need to succeed both in school and beyond.
