About Karen

I've done online ESL teaching since March, 2020. My previous career was in law. As it turns out, I'm really an excellent, patient, and empathetic teacher who knows how to get good results.

I've had over 300 students in that time. Among the comments I have received are: "Good interaction with the students" (37 times), "Explained difficult words" (34 times) and "Gives instant correction" (42 times).

About the lesson

My teaching methods are geared to the individual student's needs. I have taught children from age 4 upwards, as well as adults. I am a great listener who can quickly discern the areas of practice that students need. I'm friendly and patient, with excellent ratings from my students.

Lessons don't need to be boring. I use a wide variety of techniques to let my students have fun while they learn.

I have known Karen for decades both as a friend and a business partner. Her interactions are clear, precise, and insightful. He writes well and I make sure to read every new article she publishes. She would be an excellent teacher in any capacity and I can recommend her services without reservation. Sieg Pedde

My rates are high, but I teach online in groups, so the hourly rate is for the entire group. Two individuals can split the cost and pay $15 per hour each, for a total of $30 per hour. A one-hour lesson is actually only 50 minutes long, because I need 10 minutes between classes for a break, and to prepare for the next class.
