I specialize in helping young learners become confident, successful readers through engaging, personalized instruction.

* Bachelor's Degree in Education
* 15 years of Pre-K through 2nd-grade classroom teaching experience
* 13 years of tutoring experience, including teaching the Beginning Reader program at Sylvan Learning and many years developing my own curriculum
* Helped nearly 1,000 children develop foundational reading skills

About the lesson

APPROACH:
* Lessons are phonics based and informed by Science of Reading research
* Multisensory learning, and hands-on activities that keep young learners engaged and promote deep, lasting understanding

Lessons are tailored to each child's unique needs and may focus on:
• Letter recognition and sounds
• Phonics and decoding skills
• Reading fluency
• Reading comprehension
• Early literacy foundations

My goal is to help students make steady, meaningful progress while building confidence and a love of reading. I provide regular communication with parents so we can work together to support your child's growth and celebrate their success.
