About Cayley

I am a dedicated Learning Support Assistant and Learning Mentor with four years' experience supporting secondary school students with special educational needs (SEND), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and diverse learning profiles.

Alongside my work in education, I'm studying for an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy, building on my academic background in Philosophy and Counselling Skills.

My experience has taught me that effective learning support is about more than simply explaining a subject. It's about understanding the individual, identifying what works for them, and helping them develop confidence in their own abilities.

I particularly enjoy working one-to-one with young people, helping them overcome learning barriers, recognise their strengths and develop practical skills they can carry into their education and beyond.

I believe every student deserves to feel understood, supported and capable of making progress.

I offer personalised, one-to-one online tutoring in English, literacy and study skills, specialising in KS3 and GCSE students, including those with ADHD, autism and additional learning needs.

No two students learn in quite the same way. That's why I take time to understand your individual strengths, challenges and previous learning experiences, including what has and hasn't worked for you.

Together, we'll develop an approach that suits your needs, working at a comfortable pace and adapting lessons to help you build confidence and understanding.

Lessons are typically one hour and can include reading comprehension, spelling, written expression, essay planning, revision strategies, exam techniques and independent study skills.

My approach is patient, collaborative and student-centred. Rather than simply providing answers, I aim to help students develop their understanding and become more confident, independent learners.
