About Ivy

I am a dedicated and experienced educator with 26 years of teaching experience, committed to helping students succeed academically and build confidence in their abilities. Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of learners and understand how to adapt my teaching to meet each student’s individual needs.

I take pride in being patient, reliable, and supportive, while maintaining a high standard of professionalism. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged, capable, and motivated to improve. Parents and students can trust that I am fully invested in helping each learner reach their full potential.

About the lesson

With 26 years of teaching experience, I use a patient, structured, and student-centered approach to help learners truly understand reading, writing, and ELA skills. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to fit their individual needs, pace, and learning style.

A typical lesson begins with a quick check-in to assess understanding, followed by targeted instruction, guided practice, and independent application. I break down concepts into simple, manageable steps to make learning feel clear and achievable.

What sets me apart is my ability to build confidence while improving skills. I create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and growing at their own pace.

My lessons are designed for kids and teens of all levels who need support in reading comprehension, writing, grammar, homework, or overall ELA success.
