About Iske
Hi, I’m Iske, a friendly and dedicated tutor currently studying towards my Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education through UNISA. I truly enjoy working with young learners and helping them feel confident, capable, and excited about learning.
I have gained valuable experience through my teaching practicals, where I’ve worked with Foundation Phase learners in real classroom settings. This has helped me understand that every child learns differently, and I always adapt my lessons to suit each learner’s pace, needs, and personality.
My lessons are calm, supportive, and encouraging. I create a safe space where learners feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that’s how real learning happens. I focus on building both skills and confidence, especially in English First Additional Language (EFAL) and Mathematics.

I am Iske, a dedicated and patient tutor currently completing my Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education through UNISA. My teaching approach is learner-centred, supportive, and focused on building confidence while making learning enjoyable and meaningful.
In my lessons, I use a variety of teaching techniques suited to young learners in the Foundation Phase (Grade R–3). These include visual aids, storytelling, games, and practical activities to help children understand concepts in English First Additional Language (EFAL) and Mathematics. I break down work into simple, manageable steps and adjust my teaching style according to each learner’s pace and needs.
A typical lesson is 45 to 60 minutes, allowing enough time for explanation, guided practice, and revision. I also include short, engaging activities to keep learners focused and motivated throughout the session.
Through my teaching studies and practical experience in classrooms, I have developed strong skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and supporting different learning styles (visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic). I focus not only on academic improvement but also on helping learners feel confident and capable.
