Our founder Anthony Hodges, who went from at one time being deemed paralyzed in 2015 (due car accident), to graduating and finishing his basketball career at Salem State University in 2018. Anthony Hodges has created Know Yourself Basketball to teach youth at all levels that they are capable of great things when they put their mind to it. We here at Know Yourself Basketball have the goal to help everyone in our program to reach their maximum potential in life. We will push to help the kids in our program to become better players, live healthier life's, improve their everyday fitness, become better people and learn more about themselves than ever thought possible.

Our mission

Know Yourself Basketball Clinic, recognize that basketball is only one aspect of a young person's life. Our mission is to be a memorable part of their journey by providing a healthy and safe environment where confidence in their athletic abilities can soar. Teach, develop, organize, manage, and offer youth players the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of basketball while instilling life-lessons and values such as character, team work, discipline, respect, and sportsmanship. We want youth players to leave our clinic knowing that what they bring to the game matters and that their unique skills can be utilize at any level in basketball if they are willing to dedicate their time working on their unique skill. My Typical process in beggining a new coach/client relationship is to start with a 30 minute conversation. I beleive the most important issue is to build trust and be respectable of their current abilities. Show them what they are doing right and how you can work together to improve their skills. Respect their background and cultural differences. I always offer sometime where we can exchange ideas and observe where I can help them the most.
