About Brendan

I am the Director of Athletics and Head Varsity Basketball Coach at The Garden School in Queens, New York. Additionally, I am an AAU coach for Team NYC and Love of Basketball NY. I've also served as Athletic Director and Varsity Boys Coach at The Montfort Academy, the Director of Basketball at Fastbreak Sports, and the program director of the Team Hustle. I have been coaching school, travel, AAU, and house teams, and done personal training for 10 years now.

I love being able to help athletes improve their skills and see their joy when these skills translate over into games. I do training in Westchester, Connecticut and Queens!

Every client is treated differently, as everyone has different strengths, weaknesses and ability level. I believe it is very important to key on fundamentals for players, especially at a young age. Most of my workouts begin with some basic dribbling, shooting, passing and footwork drills, working on proper technique to create muscle memory. I then put players in game situations, and teach them a variety of moves and correct reads. It is important to workout at game speed, so these skills translate over into game play.

I have worked with boys and girls of all ages and abilities. Each athlete has a different skill set, personality and work ethic, and are each assessted at our first session so they can receive proper training.

Look for someone you can relate to and get along with! You don't want your lessons to be boring. I have an outgoing personality and get along great with kids. The best lessons are when you can have fun and get better!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Where have you had the most success in game settings? What do you need the most help with?
