About Giovanna

I'm a happy, hard-working person who puts their students first no-matter-what. Expect me to check on you and be your friend, always glad to help whenever you need it.

I love seeing the satisfaction of my student's faces when they finish learning a lesson. It's great to make their learning experience easy and fun and see the smile on their faces.

During college was when I first developed my passion for teaching and helping others. I'm originally from Brazil and would help non-Portuguese speakers to learn the language during my free time, as well as newly arrived Brazilians who wanted to practice their English language skills.



I have a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and during my college years I was part of an organization that offered tutoring services for students learning Portuguese or basic English, and since then, I fell in love with helping others to succeed.

I like my students to have fun while learning, so I typically start asking about their learning process and setting my expectations for them as well as their expectations for me as a tutor. Creating a good connection is key to an amazing learning experience.



Mostly college students. Graduate professionals and researchers also were part of a few groups I taught.



Never stop trying. Learning a language may seem hard and impossible sometimes, but I believe there are many fun ways to learn a specific subject, and my job is to help you to find your way of learning it.



Writing is a passion of mine, and I have just helped publish a research study on Climate Change in the state of Florida through the Bob Graham Center for Public Services. This was an amazing project to work on and I couldn't be happier to have been part of it.
