About Julianna
Hello! My name is Julianna Barker, and I just finished my degree in Elementary Education iwith specializations in Kindergarten, Teaching ELL, and Special Education. I anticipate on receiving my degree this summer. Some of my interests are traveling, painting, knitting, reading, playing games, and enjoying the outdoors. I also have a passion for teaching children!
My classroom experience starts back in the Spring of 2017. Prior to student-teaching, I have obtained over 250 hours in classroom experience across multiple school settings. My experience includes time in elementary education, special education, early childhood, middle school, and teaching ELL. I have also spent 8 weeks student-teaching in 4th grade and 7 weeks in kindergarten!
I chose to be an educator because I want to instill the love of learning in my students and help each of them be successful in their education. I remember having both positive and negative experiences in school, so I am fully aware of the incredible impact a teacher has on their students. I hope to have a positive impact on my future students, and I want to see them begin each day ready and excited to learn!
