My first time, I like to get to know the student. I ask a few questions about how they like to learn. If the student feels like I'm a good fit for them, I make a plan to move forward and work together.
I've mainly worked with middle schoolers, but I am willing to work with any student up to grade 10.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What is your learning style? (ex. hands on, visual, audio, etc.)
What environment do you need in order to be most productive?
What is something teachers do that you like?
What is something teachers do that you dislike?
