Experienced tutor in English in San Diego, Sharon offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

Ms Sharon is very kind and patient with her students. My 6 year old took elementary writing with her and I can definitely see an improvement to her critical thinking with regards to writing. We absolutely recommend Ms Sharon!

Sharon made writing, an area of weakness and disability for my daughter, engaging. She was so positive and the class was so fun that my daughter forgot that she was working on something that was hard and stressful for her. She gives great supports, feedback to each assignment that always includes positives as well as areas of concern, and opportunities for each child to share their work and their thoughts and ideas. The group setting that Sharon provides facilitates learning through peer interactions, which is more effective than individual tutoring for skill building. I look forward to working with Sharon again, and continuing to see the growth and pride my daughter shows in the work that she is doing. We went from tears and tantrums to hesitant engagement in writing. I know hesitant engagement may not sound great to some, but this means that we went from 45 minutes to 2 hours of screaming fits to talking about her ideas for the writing and calmly sitting down and slowly working on the writing assignment. To me, that is a huge win!

I highly recommend Sharon for an English teacher with my utmost confidence. I've learned English for years with many teachers. She is the most responsible and passionate teacher I've ever met. She recognizes what the problems are in my English such as grammar and pronunciation and does her best to improve my English skills with an effective way. Whenever I make mistakes speaking English, she corrects my error directly so that I recognize it and remember the correct expressions. Also, she always compliments on my English improvement and encourages me to be confident with English. Thanks to her, I like English more and more.
