About Michelle

- Duke University Class of 2020; Neuroscience B.A., Chemistry Minor

- Eastern Virginia Medical School Biomedical Sciences M.S. Student

- Have tutored 5 students, ranging from 6-14 years old

- Currently tutoring 6th grade student in English and Math

- Passionate about essay writing and foundational science concepts; I also love looking over college essays!

I have tutored up to 5 different students in elementary and middle school, 2 of which struggled with learning difficulties. I was able to accommodate each student's unique challenges as well as create effective plans in pursuit of specific learning objectives/goals with parents.

About the lesson

I typically dedicate the 1-2 sessions to getting to know the student, their learning styles (both strengths and weaknesses), their academic background. This way, I can gain a better assessment of his/her areas of opportunity and growth!
