About Sara
Hello! I am a private voice teacher and performer based in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area who specializes in opera and musical theatre. Whether you're just learning how to sing or want to improve the skills you already have, I'm here to help!

Teaching voice is not just about helping people get better at singing...it's about finding their voice and loving it unconditionally with all of its beautiful imperfections. Your voice is YOU. Strengthen it, love it,play with it, take care of it...it's YOURS and NO ONE can take that from you. That, to me, is so important to nurture. I love to see my students leave their lessons happier, more confident, and more accepting of the voice they've been given.

When starting with a new student after brief introductions, I inquire about their previous musical experiences. I accept students of all levels but it helps to know if they've played a musical instrument before, have been in choir, or know how to read music. If they are a complete novice, we will start from square one and build the fundamentals of singing like posture, breathing, and just making sounds! I meet the student where ever they are and we will work together from there.
Find someone who speaks to your learning language and can adapt to meet you where you are on any given day. And find someone with whom you have fun with! Singing is fun and if you don't find joy in your lessons, then maybe you're not with the right teacher.
