About Ciara

I am a qualified sports and performance psychologist, but have also tutored second-level students in multiple subjects for the past 3 years.

The subjects I have tutored in are: English, History, Geography, Science and Spanish. I am able to tutor all of these subjects up to Junior Cert level and can tutor English, Geography and Biology up to Leaving Cert.

As I have a Masters in psychology, I am willing to teach beginner classes in psychology to those who are interested in the subject generally, or are thinking about persuing a career in psychology.

Additionally, as a performance psychologist, I am able to teach mental skills and techniques to help overcome feelings of stress or performance anxiety to help you achieve your full potential. These skills can be helpful in many situations, such as exams, sports, and professional presentations.

About the lesson

In our first lesson, it will be chance to have a chat to see what you want to get out of our classes together and for me to assess your current level, so I can design a programme that will benefit you the best.
Subsequent classes will have set (but adaptable) plans, with specific goals and aims.

My classes are for second level students who want to improve their understanding of the English syllabus, learn successful strategies for exam taking, and generally improve their grasp on the English language.

My classes are also for people who are learning English as a foreign language and wish to improve their level.

Additionally, I am able to provide report and essay writing to new college students - including scientific and academic writing techniques, and learning about citation and referencing.
