About Abhi

I’m Abhi, a Master of Banking and Finance graduate from Monash University. I also hold a Bachelor of Management Studies in HR and a financial modeling certification run in partnership with KPMG. I currently work in superannuation, helping members understand their finances, so explaining complex money topics in plain language is part of my everyday work.

Teaching is what I genuinely enjoy most. I’ve always been the person friends come to when a topic doesn’t make sense, and I love that moment when something finally clicks. I know how it feels to be stuck on a concept, so I’m patient, I never make you feel rushed, and I focus on helping you truly understand, not just get through the next assignment.

Outside study and work, I’m into data and analytics (SQL and Power BI), staying active at the gym, and I care a lot about making education accessible to everyone.

About the lesson

My lessons are built around you: your course, your assessments, and the topics you find hardest.

How a typical session works:

We start by checking where you’re stuck, whether that’s a concept, a homework question or exam prep.
I explain the idea simply first, then work through real examples together.
You try a few problems yourself while I guide you, so you leave knowing how to do it, not just having watched me.
I finish with a quick recap and what to practise before next time.

What I cover:
Corporate finance, financial statements and ratios, time value of money, business statistics, intro HR and management, and Excel, from formulas and pivot tables to financial modelling basics and intro Power BI.

Format: online or in person around Oakleigh, Clayton and Monash. I’m patient, I never rush, and I’m happy to explain something three different ways until it clicks.
